The Great Florida Birding Trail

The Great Florida Birding Trail (GFBT) is a program of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. At its core is a network of nearly 500 sites throughout Florida selected for their excellent birdwatching or bird education opportunities. This 2,000-mile, self-guided highway trail is designed to conserve and enhance Florida's bird habitat by promoting birdwatching activities, conservation education and economic opportunity.

White Dog Design Group partnered with the staff of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to create the new Great Florida Birding Trail website, to serve as a resource for the birding community. The design really seeks to showcase the huge variety of birds and habitats that we have here in our home state of Florida, as well as the official "Great Florida Birding Trails" around the state.

As with most of the websites that White Dog Design Group creates, the "back-end" of this website has an easy to use Content Management System. In fact, FWC is able to edit any of the sites that we build in partnership with them, all from the same back-end system.
