The final project never made it past the drawing board, but we were excited to participate in the design process.
Our team put a lot of thought into the overall site strategy- who was the audience for the site? How did Florida citizens and visitors use Florida Parks? Our design team created a site that allowed users to look up parks of course, but we also included features where visitors could look up activities such as mountain bike riding, paddling, horse back riding, etc. that may be going on at several parks close to the visitor.
Another feature of the proposed design was the inclusion of community bloggers, so that area experts could write review of trails, and local events. Our team wanted to create more community driven participation of the new website.
As with all of our websites, this site was intended to be developed using an easy to use Content Management System that would have allowed the Parks Service staff to easily keep the site maintained.
