I was reminded of my college days at Florida State University, the posters and fliers that pepper the campus for everything from bands, to the "roommate needed" signs. There is a lot of creativity that happens in these short staccato bursts, stapled to telephone polls, as you rush to the class. There is a lot of energy, and creative communication going on, sans the corporate polish that we later learn to filter the message through. Tonight at Decent Pizza, I was reminded of the creative design and communication, the social media that exists in the community all around us. Yes, the everyday tools we have on the web certainly help get the message out, but at the end of the day, it still has to be a cool message, delivered in a creative way. The tools that make it easier can't make us lazy. Did I mention the pizza at Decent Pizza is really, really good?
