That's pretty close to the situation I've found myself in lately with one of my design projects. Sure, the production schedule is still there, and there are plenty of pixels to push around, but with this one design project, the requirement is that the quality be as high as possible, but the deadline is far into the future. It's had a lifting effect on my creativity, craftsmanship, and enthusiasm to not be as worried about the production time line. I have the luxury on this project to allow it to unfold at a languid pace, so that I may really consider each possible variation. Already, this is having an overflow effect on my other design projects as I carry over the lessons learned. Pretty cool.
